I help everyday people understand sustainability using empathetic storytelling, reckon with our current systems and injustices, and create a better world through the actions of everyday people.

With the climate crisis very much here, more people are leaning into climate solutions and finding interest in these nuanced conversations. Since the sentiment around the climate crisis is usually doom and gloom, I like to lean on empathy and curiosity to lead people as they learn through storytelling. Rather than treating sustainable living and habits as restrictive, I see it as liberating and expansive. The goal is not perfection, but to make small gradual changes as individuals and bigger change within the collective.

Turning seemingly complex climate and sustainability topics into easy-to-understand concepts to bridge the gap between jargon-heavy science language and the public.

Doing Climate Communication Differently

Historically, climate communication has been left up solely to scientists. While these people are the experts in their field, they’re not always the best equipped to speak to the public about their findings or their overall work. Our society is facing a fundamental disconnect due to a lack of media and science literacy. As someone with degrees in Biomedical Science and Public Health and a passion for clear, direct communication my goal is to make this information accessible. To do so I make sure to approach climate communication with storytelling that is empathetic, curious, and fun, but most importantly, jargon-free. It’s my belief that we all want to be more community-minded, eco-minded, planet-minded, we just don’t know how, because frankly, this area has had a lot of noise both in real life and digitally.
